ICON - Student-Designed Playing Cards.

As a top-tier “Partner Sponsor” of ICON5, held July 2 - 5 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York, Xerox Corporation worked in partnership with ICON5 to produce the deck of cards as a commemorative gift for the more than 400 illustrators who attended. ICON5 organizers arranged for top students from three New York design schools — the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons The New School for Design and the School of Visual Arts — and the Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, to contribute their original illustrations and designs.

wow~~ I was one of them and finally get to see final of my work.

Thanks Melanie and Kam!

Something different

I went to Chelsea to see some works. Whenever I go that district, I get overwhelmed. One of the artists that I remember, is Zhang huan's giant sculpture. That was a giant Chinese woman with her baby on her back. The woman covered up whole body with cow's skin. I could see real tails and feet. I was horrified to see the sculpture.

hmmm. definitely, that is not what I want to do through the art.

So, what do I want through the process of creating something?
